5. Beavis and Butthead

Americans love retards and stoners and these two are just that. So why are they number 5 on our list? Well . . . I'm saving adult swim cartoons for another post and the other 4 will make up for this.

4. South Park

Matt Stone and Trey Parker's brainchild kicked the censors in the balls and also produced some great episodes. Characters include the fat and evil Cartman, a singing piece of poo, a pair of mentally handicapped children, and a transgendered teacher. The top episodes include Cartman joins Nambla (S4: E6), Scott Tenorman must Die (S5: E5), and Trapped in the Closet (S9: E12).

Seth MacFarlane has got the family cartoon formula down. No show does pedophile humor as well as Family Guy and it gives South Park a run for its money for handicapped people humor. Favorite episodes include Da boom (S2: E3), Patriot Games (S4: E20), and Death has a Shadow (S1: E1).

Futurama is about a delivery boy Fry, who gets frozen and reawakes 1000 years later. This show offers great social commentary, funny subplots, and real substance underneath the humor. Top episodes include The Why of Fry (S5: E8), Anthology of Interest I (S2: E20), and The Luck of the Fryrish (S3: E4).

1. Simpsons

At number one is the Simpsons, the granddaddy of them all. Running for 21 seasons, the Simpsons has set the bar for every other cartoon you see on the list. There are too many quality episodes to name and my a.d.d. is kicking in . . .
